I thought 30 Days of Night was ok until the guy injects himself with vampire blood to become a vampire.
I was so sure they were going to trap the vampires in the grinding machinery--it seemed like a telegraphing of it--"this machine can chew up anything" so I assumed they would have the vampires sucked into on a chain that got them by the ankles.
That's a good example of torture-killing the white male character for no logical story reason.
