But, as an Atlanta sports fan, I know not to count my hawks before they hatch. Sixers could very well win this series in 7, and I will still be proud of my Hawks who weren't even expected by the "experts" to be even this far. Plus, their team is young. We have the dynasty that the Sixers thought they had.

Maybe I'm being naive but I really thought Doc Rivers would end up back in Atlanta as head coach eventually. It could still happen but if Philly chokes again with their team full of superstars and the Hawks continue to win with one eliteish guy that is very iffy on defense Doc's value will tumble and Nate will have locked down a full time job as Hawks head coach. I think Nate deserves the job regardless considering how he's turned Atlanta around in such a short time.

I hope Doc Rivers stays the hell away from Atlanta.

Nate McMillan is amazing. Just look at his record vs Lloyd Pierce's who got fired mid-season with the same team.

I actually believe that McMillan was hired as assistant coach to replace Pierce.

Either way, last night was by far the worst coached game of basketball that I have ever seen. If you know the Hawks are just going to foul Ben Simmons, then why have floor spreaders on the court? Why not go all out on rebounders when he inevitably misses free throws? Makes no sense. But as a Hawks fan, I am happy. I hope they play Ben Simmons every minute.
