Can't help turning on the original nearly every time it shows up on tv.
The chemistry between Morita and Macchio is pure magic. While it remains intact in the sequel and holds the film together, there is too much retread (Macchio runs afoul of bullies and must fight to save his honor). And I couldn't help thinking he was pretty quick to forget Elizabeth Shue and get hot with that Japanese babe. I don't think Liz was waiting for him in Kid III, anyway.
Made to cash in on the original (aren't all sequels?) and not as bad as it might have been.
