A new guy is not going to fix Simmons though. He’s not a true point guard. He’s like a small forward/shooting guard version of Julius Randle; with a more broken jump shot and Shaq free throw skills. He’s not a good fit in Philly, whether he’s coached by Doc or by a new guy. Why would need some little dribbler? Get creative. doc stinks: just an old 80s dribbler pg. Because an “80s dribbler” would still be a ball distributor, a potential assist machine. Look what CP3 did for the Phoenix Suns! Someone who can dependably get the ball to real shooters. You don’t need a pretend outside shooter who is a heavy liability at the free throw line. Move him to a team who needs a passing small forward.
