Rocky III wasn't better than the original, but it's easily the best of the many sequels. You'd put III above II? From a realistic standpoint, II is better. But from a pure entertainment standpoint, III is better. If any of that makes sense. It all depends on how you like your Rocky. As a serious drama, II is the better of the two. As popcorn entertainment, III is the better of the two.
