I am all in for the 2009. Further, I like the six-part mini-series shown in Sweden after the release of the movies, just called "Millennium." They are expanded editions with material formally deleted for the theatrical release. That is the best way to see it.
The American release is pretty much useless. It has none of the impact of the Swedish originals. It is basically for the "I don't like to read subtitles" crowd.
