Seyfried was another one they offered the role to. She turned it down because she didn't want to spend the time in heavy green makeup.

I'm not a hundred percent sure about this, but from what I understand Amanda was offered the role first by James Gunn. Olivia was offered the role by both Gunn and the studio.

Personally I would have preferred Wilde, but I do prefer Seyfried over Saldana.
