I saw Clueless (1995, dir. Amy Heckerling) for the first time.
I know it’s considered a cult classic, but I didn't think it would be my kind of movie. So naturally I loved it. Writer-director Heckerling’s dialogue is amazing. “What’s with you, kid? You think the death of Sammy Davis left an opening in the Rat Pack?”
Just think, mainstream movies had dialogue this good ~30 years ago. Whatever happened?
