Just saw Becoming John Ford (2007). As director Nick Redman pointed out, it should have been called "Ford at Fox", because it is about those years and his time with Zanuck.
Great footage and talking head commentary. Quotes I had never heard. Ford: "Don't let this out because I present myself as an illiterate, but [...comments on the theory of sound in film...] I like talking pictures."
And: "Anyone with a eye can shoot in color. Black and white: that's photography".
