The BFI have compiled their most wanted list there is a page at wiki, an interesting list with some films having been found , another Daniel Birt film Three Steps in the Dark (1953), listed has been found in the Australian National Film archive..
A couple of other films WANTED that I have searched for over the years and had no luck in finding on DVD ?
