Episodes 2 and 3 get worse, but I still like it. I like the visuals much more than most MCU projects, except the awful apocalyptic moon backgrounds. Those shots look so bad. I have to say I’m getting a little tired of every main male character other than (pretty much) Cap being a clumsy-clown rag doll. By the third episode, Loki is pretty much like the court jester to Sylvie. I suppose that’s just the writing for this franchise now. Some might like that, but I find it overdone and detrimental to actual character development. He’s a nitwit and outclassed by everyone both physically and strategically at every turn. The audience needs something to hold onto for a main character (especially one that is technically coming off of his most sinister and powerful portrayal in the entire series chronologically). Loki is offering less and less to like and/or respect about its main character. I have to agree. Loki in the original movies seemed devious. Mischievous but still conniving. Here he just goes from quirky to flat-out jester mode. You'd never have thought this was the same guy who ruthlessly took the eye out of a civilian just a few days ago. They did something similar to both Vision and Bucky though to lesser degrees. But for an android and a formerly brainwashed assassin, they certainly seemed quirkier in their shows than in the MCU movies. While this show hasn't gone past the point of no return yet, I do worry that by the end of this series, they would have done irreversible damage to Loki's character.
