That's what also made it so refreshing, especially lines like:
"I have just been fired because nobody wants to see vampire killers any more, or vampires either. Apparently all they want are demented madmen, running around in ski masks hacking up young virgins."
There was a quasi remake of Fright Night done with Kevin Sorbo is a tv host and he gets approached to help kill a werewolf.
It was called Never Cry Werewolf. I’m surprised they never got sued. It’s one thing to take inspiration, but to outright rip it off is a whole other thing.
