It seems that the widespread consensus, sight unseen, for Spider-Man Homecoming is that that this new approach is a turn-off. Most of the complaints I am hearing and reading revolve around the coming of age story, the presence of Iron Man and a marketing campaign that shows too much skin. In the face of that, I have to ask the naysayers this: What in God's name did you want to see in a new Spider-Man movie that hasn't been covered thoroughly by the previous franchises? My guess is stuff featuring clones, Carnage or the Sinister Six - none of which I am interested in. For me, Homecoming is going to mix the best of two genres I love - the super-hero origin and a coming of age story. Sigh... In any event, for those of you who don't mind serious spoilers, enjoy these gifts from Atomica:
