This man has dabbled in just about every genre there is; horror, comedy, science fiction, action, fantasy. You name it, he's done it. I'm guessing The Omen wouldn't have been nearly as good if he wasn't at the helm. He took the material seriously and gave it a seriously intense, somber tone that resulted in a very fine horror movie.
