German-American singer and actor Bill Ramsey has left us at the age of 90, on July 2nd.
Due to the Korean War, compulsory military service was again introduced in the USA and Bill Ramsey served with the U.S. Air Force in Germany. Singing in clubs, discovered by AFN (American Forces Network), entertaining the troops, after discharge in 1958, he was contacted by German record companies. He established himself as a popular singer, that lead to appearing in movies, first as a singer and later in acting roles, including Old Shatterhand 1964.
