I like it okay. I’m not big into superhero films, never have been outside of the ones where the heroes don’t really have any genetic traits that give them super abilities. Or they take place in the past. Sort of like Rocketeer Or Phantom I suppose.
I’ve bought the film on vhs, dvd and bluray but then I’ll subsequently shelve it or give it away. It’s one of those films I’ll get nostalgic for but then I get my fix and not see it again for years. I’m not sure why that is. Maybe it’s Reeve or Kidder or just the way it was shot. A lot of the film is unimpressive from a cinematographer standpoint In my opinion. Very uninspired in some sequences especially considering what else had come before In the past years leading up to it. Jaws, Star Wars, etc.
It’s a good film but not one that I consider all that appealing to me anyways.
As a kid I liked 2 and even 3 better. 3 was appealing to me because of the “bad” Superman and the incredible installation built in the cave.
