Ok so, I found ep5 a lot more enjoyable than ep3 and 4. I'm still pretty miffed with their defanged, wussified version of Loki and I still think the writing is pretty shaky, but at least this episode has gotten me interested in this show again. The only thing that worries me is that we only have 1 episode left, and it feels like this show hasn't really covered that much ground to already be in the finale. But oh well, we'll see. Hopefully this gives us a better finale than Wandavision. It might be worth pointing out that unlike WandaVision or F&WS, this show is getting a second season, so they wouldn’t necessarily need to wrap up everything by episode 6.
