Jewel-Osco is an Albertsons company. Dominick's was a Safeway company. Safeway and Albertson's merged in 2015. Albertsons is the parent company of Safeway now but most of the stores are revamped to be safeway like.

We have Acme here in PA, which is an Albertsons company and was an Albertsons company before the merge. The 3 acmes I've been in, they all look like safeway. even the price tags on their shelves are using the font safeway was using before the merge, so it feels more like Safeway's the parent company.

All of the Albertsons stores replaced their generics with Safeway generics because Safeway already had a line of generics while Albertsons used to use generics supplied by their former parent company, SuperValu.
