yes - pretty much the definitive heist movie and superb performances down the line, I read all of WANDERER and yes - he dismisses his Hollywood career in a paragraph and gets on with telling us about the sailing! I gather it wasn't until he worked with John Frankenheimer on the TV OLD MAN in 1958 (recently seen and worth tracking down) that he became interested in acting other than a way to fund boat stuff.
Here's Helene! In between breaking in Lana's bits of rough she did appear in a few other notable movies - ALL THE KINGS MEN, DIPLOMATIC COURIER and THE SNOWS OF KILIMANJARO, but I can't recall her from any.
