It would be easier just to trade him. You can definitely win with him but it will require more meticulous planning. He slows down the offense in ways that you don't want to see as a fan. It's funny - NBA Central posted an article quoting an NBA Scout who stated pretty much the same thing I stated above and in other posts
Stick him at the '4' as a Point Forward and go out and sign Lowry to run the '1'. Don't want to keep using #s as we've moved into positionless ball but you need two ballhandlers and the 2nd ballhandler - Combo Guard - needs to be able to shoot too.
It can be done. I just think it would be significantly harder to implement.
