Braves acquire Joc Pederson from the Cubs - I don’t think this will come close to helping their offense deal with the loss of Acuna but it gives them a decent outfielder which they need. They lost Ozuna too, so they are starving for some offensive production from an outfielder. Pederson is having a terrible year though. Kind of a nothing move, just plugging in a warm body to fill ABs at this point. Agreed - they just desperately needed an outfielder. I do think this is the beginning of a fire sale for the Cubs though, I expect several more Cubs to be traded in the coming weeks.
