New York should host mini Olympics - back to the roots. Next year in September...when I plan to visit the East coast. But yes: If they cancel the games in Tokyo again, then it is over for Tokyo. And in consideration of the pan-European EURO 2021 a disgrace. The roots of the Olympics is Athens not New York If we're being technical, the roots of the games are in Olympia, not Athens. Athens is the original home of the modern games. Panathenaic Stadium is fun to visit if you're ever in Athens, though there are much more interesting things to see there of course. Just close your eyes when you aren't near anything historical, because the city is a dump.
