They don't find offensive. Different situation entirely. For one, the idea of never being asked is part of what some find offensive. I'm not claiming to fully understand it, I'm just relaying what I've heard.

As far as the name 'Indian,' opinions vary. Some native people use that as a name to describe themselves, and others don't. Names like Braves, Indians, and Seminoles were never nearly as controversial as Red Men or Redskins, which is obviously just a slur.

Good on Cleveland for at least choosing a name, by the way. It may not be a great one, but at least they made a fucking choice, unlike doofus Dan Snyder.
