I wasn't attempting to disparage Shooting or Archery in any way. Merely attempting to defend Darts by pointing out it has exactly the same body mechanics - precise aim and power judgement - as the other two but is commonly laughed off for being a "pub game" or whatever. And yes, in terms of not having a targeting instrument, despite the poor perception some people have of it, it is more pure. I guess in the same way I'd view cycling as more pure a sport than moto-gp. But I certainly wasn't putting archery or shooting out of the Olympics sports equation... Yeah and while I don't think it makes for the most compelling viewing, I wouldn't say darts requires less focus, muscle memory, or hand eye coordination than some of the other sports. If we can have Olympic ping pong we can have Olympic darts, and I don't mean that as an insult to either sport. I am not sure how it is on TV, but I had the opportunity to watch Olympic-level table tennis in person and it is freaking amazing!
