I don't see how they aren't sending players from the major league club if this goes down. Dustin May? Gavin Lux? It's got to be a lot. What happens with Seager?
No one is going to give up a top prospect for a two month rental like Scherzer. But Turner on the other hand, he's eligible for arbitration this offseason and should get a raise from his 13 million. And he can't walk until 2023. Turner is 36 and under a big contract. LA will have to pick up a big chunk of that if they deal him.
Why is Washington so anxious to dump Turner. They still have good players and going into full rebuild might not sit well with Juan Soto
