The Disney company certainly milked family friendly slap-stick in the 1970's, Hot Lead and Cold Feet is from 1978.
from left to right you see John Williams, Jim Dale, Don Knotts and Darren McGavin.
It's a bit tiresome but not awful. If one has seen many western movies one can also see the jokes ahead, and enjoy that part.
