I think it was Alex Rios who was rumoured to be dealt early on from the Jays for Lincecum yet the Giants I believe backed off 11th hour. 2 young studs at that time, & the Jays could never find a promising arm & they'd ever had was young bats.

CC Sabathia gets my vote here btw. I suppose he was merely our most recent Sutton or Blyleven.
