'Inmate #1 : The Rise Of Danny Trejo' (2019, Documentary)

The documentary 'Inmate #1 : The Rise Of Danny Trejo' (2019) is co-produced by actor Danny Trejo, so it's largely a compilation of recollections from his own life, some of which you might have heard in previous interviews he's given. It's great for the uninitiated though as it offers a glimpse into a truly extraordinary life, while fans of Trejo can simply sit back and enjoy quality time spent.

I liked that this documentary works as a cautionary tale against prison life. As in, we should probably all try and stay out of the clink if we can help it. If you get set up like Sly Stallone in 'Lock Up' then there's not much you can do, except take some valuable real-life lessons from Mr. Trejo; use the time to educate yourself, work out daily, take any pre-emptive strike necessary and find God.
