No, but we could make more films for thinking adults, who have certainly been let down by the American studio system this century. You have to look far more to non English speaking movies to find that. Playing it safe never makes for great art More prerentious nonsense. A persons' taste in movies doesn't reflect on their intelligence. You're not intellectually superior to anyone because of your taste in movies. Anybody who says otherwise is an idiot. It wasn't intended to upset the fan boys and girls, just show that they are aimed at younger people and the plot and nature suit those with shorter attention span. Like what you will, but don't try to claim it to be anything other than what it is. Sorry, though we all like different stuff which is good, but when one type of film takes over to the detriment of others (Scorcese made good points with discussing The Irishman) than perhaps we are heading in a bad direction.
