Sorry, though we all like different stuff which is good, but when one type of film takes over to the detriment of others (Scorcese made good points with discussing The Irishman) than perhaps we are heading in a bad direction.

What an ignorant thing to say. Adults the world over love watching superhero movies. In fact, the main audience for superhero movies are made up of adults. It's got nothing to do with "short attention span". They're not only aimed at "younger" people.

I'm not a big fan of superhero movies but I would never insult those you like them. And even enjoy watching a couple of them. I'm totally aware of how popular they are. This is just contraian BS to make yourself look edgy and cool.

Maybe you should follow your own advice about how we all like different stuff. Let them enjoy what they want to enjoy. Nobody is forcing you to watch them. No need to be a pretentious idiot about it.
