I'm none of the things you describe but still consider The Last Jedi as the best of a bad bunch (Star Wars sequels that is, I haven't seen Fallen Kingdom). Judge waxed so poetically before ending his post by assuming the motivations of everyone who liked TLJ and implying they aren't true Star Wars fans. I love Star Wars. I wrote an article that got published about Star Wars. I didn't particularly care about Rian Johnson until after his involvement with Star Wars. And yet some way, somehow, I actually like TLJ. Er, no, I said the only people that I had encountered in my time on and offline have been people who have fallen under those criteria, I did not say that was the case for all people who like the movie.
