At one point in the 70s, when both UK TV stations had weekly listing magazines with film editors who invited readers to write in and request which old classics they wanted to see ORCHESTRA WIVES was the most requested movie.
I too have a soft spot for DAKOTA LIL
and this sounds like a must see....George and a quintet of strippers take on the might of the Japanese army following Pearl Harbour.... despite its 80s straight to video packaging it was released (or let escape) in 1964. Joan Shawlee (Sweet Sue in SOME LIKE IT HOT, Sylvia the switchboard operator in THE APARTMENT) is among the strippers.
