Your Thoughts On Air-Conditioning ??

Gulf Coast Texas. You have to have it or you will die. Seriously. Back in the pre-airconditioned days they actually tried to sell land here for $.06 an acre. Most people that came from up North went back within a year. The climate killed off most (or the mosquitos did). 100 degree days and 100 percent humidity does a number on most people's systems. Of course, if you grew up without it i guess it doesn't affect you as much. My Dad grew up here and only had a window unit in the living room of the house he grew up in. He slept in a non-airconditioned room in a small house that had an attic fan. It worked okay most of the time but once he moved out on his own his house had central air.
