Regressing? Casino Royale had a gunfight in a sinking city, a black Spiderman jumping off buildings and cranes, Bond at the last second swerving his car missing Vesper tied to the road, a plane almost being blown up, planes sucking police cars off the ground and you think that wasn't over the top action. Lol. There was clearly a massive regression in this franchise from Casino to Spectre. I could explain, but… Come on, man. It’s obvious. None of the reinvention from that first movie remains in Spectre. And swerving off a road is very different from ejecting from a car equipped with machine guns and flamethrowers, then parachuting down to safety. I love how you skipped over everything else I said about your admittedly ridiculously ironic comment to focus on the car swerving that already severely undoes your point anyway. I mean what were you expecting of Bond films post Casino Royale exactly? Him gambling billions of pounds of MI6 money on roulette tables every sequel while drunk thinking about how he could've saved Vesper? This reminds me of a similar conversation I had with Winter King over the World is not enough and Christmas Jones.
