Nah. Honestly, a return to the Brosnan era might do the franchise some good. Bond fans want more of the old style back anyway. As for the teal look, it's overused, but when used well, I won't notice. As much as I love Bond the big question is whether they can actually maintain this series by making the same movie over and over again. Casino Royale was such a refreshing take on this character. I just think it’s a shame they couldn’t continue with that style/characterization. Skyfall was pretty good though. As for the teal, it looks atrocious here. Totally ruins the otherwise solid looking cinematography. They still continued with the style/characterization as in the gritty seriousness and Bond with a darker, harder edge. Where I think they went wrong is having Bond go rogue continuously and having missions that are more personal than strictly business. Spectre is the worst offender with having Blofeld be you-know-what. Refreshing? What are you talking about? Casino Royale still had Bond in a tuxedo in a casino with a martini shaken not stirred. Your idea of refreshing is baffling to be honest. It wasn't that radical. Bond girls have died in previous Bond films too so I really have no idea what you're getting at. The only change was the actor and he wasn't going to be Bond forever. It felt refreshing because the usual tropes of the franchise were presented more organically rather being shown because it's tradition. The movie still opens with a gun barrel, but they incorporated it into the action. This Bond is more abrasive, naïve, and with a harder edge that hadn't been seen since the Dalton era. Bond girls have died before in the previous films, but at least we see the full effect a Bond girl's death has on him. It's quite different from Bond crying after his wife Tracy has been shot, and then in the next film, it's all been ignored.
