I remember one that showed a pretty girl smoking a cigarette. As she smoked, her skin started developing nasty lesions while turning into this filthy black goop that melted off her face. The tagline was: "If what happens on the inside happened on the outside, would you still smoke?" Yes, there are many graphic anti-smoking ads out there. They're scarier than horror movies because the message is real. It wasn't the graphics that made it memorable for me. We see disturbing imagery all the time. Oh look, a girl's face is melting off. Yawn. It was the tagline that did it. And I find it sad, not scary.
