I used to love the football commercials from the 90s and early 00s. Well, maybe not every single one, but some sure stands out, way better than others.
I remember being so hyped about this one, and then not much later, Eric Cantona would retire. I believe it was aired during the 1995-96 season, but yeah, time sadly moved way too fast, and less than a year later, Cantona was no longer a Manchester United player. So many legends in that video clip.
I think the 0-3 result from the board, kind of showcased early on in the 1998/99 season (the commercial I believe were from winter of 1999) how uneven that (soon to be treble legends) Manchester United team were at the beginning. Some real nasty losses, and specially by Arsenal, who beat United 3-0 twice during the late summer of 1998. And there was nowhere a feel that team would be able of writing themselves into the history books. Of course, by the end of the year, and into the next, things had certainly changed, as their comeback status would be the iconic style to which Fergie and his teams would never surrender, and always find a way to beat their opponents.
Again, so many legends. However, this was not in 2007, but most likely shot around 2002-03, and kind of weird, I guess, since Beckham would in the summer of 2003, end up becomming a Real Madrid player, after his feisty and upclose "discussion" with Solskjaer's boot, that got kicked into his face, by an angry Sir Alex, during a defeat in the FA Cup against rivals Arsenal that winter.
