"Repl[ying] accordingly" needn't entail personal invective. As any randomly chosen nine-year-old can readily demonstrate, slinging insults is easy, and conveys little in the way of intellect, imagination or creativity. Most posters here are more thoughtful, interesting and erudite; something any person worthy of consideration might adopt as an aspiration, if only to avoid appearing just another internet bore.
