The article stated that Fishburne was not asked to reprise his role as Morpheus. I can’t imagine why he wasn’t asked back. I just thought he turned it down, but that does bother me knowing he wasn’t even asked to come back.

Well, let’s give it a chance. It could be that he’s a time traveling Morpheus and he’s a very young iteration of the character. Maybe Fishburne will be back in a 5th one as older Morpheus?!?
