My go-to, daily "uniform," is blue jeans, tapered and stretchy, with a tee-shirt/sweatshirt, as weather dictates. I like the denim to be dark blue, and I don't care for it to be thick, without the stretch.
That can be "upped," a bit, with a choice of shoes, tops, and simple jewelry.
