I bet someday within the next 50 years these two properties will be owned by the same corporation and they will be rebooted together. If they were somewhat independent like they used to be, I might agree. But now that they are both owned by large corporations I don't think either will see any benefit in selling their IP to the other. There's no gain. If any one corporation owned both IP's it would be a monopoly of superhero comics and movies unlike anything ever seen. NO ONE else would be able to break through. From the stand point of the comics and movie markets it would actually NOT be a good thing. Any market always thrives on competition, not monopoly. But from the stand point of the us as fans, it would be awesome! I would love to see in continuity stories sharing both universes characters teaming up! All the ones they've done in the past have been "what if/elseworlds" type of stories, not in true continuity.
