It was actually much better than I expected. The slow buildup of drama in the first twenty or so minutes felt pointless in the end but the action and suspense that follows makes it worthwhile.
It is sort of like a blend of Intruders (2015) and season 1 of The Terror but the setting is very similar to that of Gerald's Game where most of the action takes place at an isolated house in the middle of nowhere and the protagonist must survive what comes after with limited resources. I guess that's all I can say without giving away spoilers.
Megan Fox was alright, her acting was a bit wooden though she makes up for it by outsmarting villains at every turn and kicking their a$$ to the very end. It's actually nice to see her taking on more challenging roles as opposed to her usually being portrayed as a sex symbol in skimpy outfits.
