I only had one problem with this film overall. But it's still good.
Some of the acting by the lead man wasn't great but only some of the time. The acting could have been slightly beter maybe. But I'm gonna assume,
maybe his acting improves by the second one? Who would agree with me a little bit?
Oh, most definitely. Whereas Mr. Weissmuller's performance in Tarzan The Ape Man was quite splendid within its rather modest scope and ambition, he showed tremendous growth as a thespian in Tarzan And His Mate, bringing a depth and sensitivity to the part, especially in the subtlety he brought to the by-play with Cheetah (with its daring interspecies erotic overtones), as well as an artistic commitment to vine swinging that seemed only tentative in his first outing.
