Its their way of getting all the teams in prime time at some point. They know their ratings are good no matter who plays so they can get away with Jags-Bengals. I love football but what you see on Thursdays ain't football. This isn't a game meant to be played twice in 4 days. It's almost always a sloppy, penalty-turnover-fest. Especially when they schedule crap teams. In the old days that's what Monday nights were for; then they added Sunday night, but Thursday night? Overkill imo. Not really. Monday nights back in the day were very much marquee games. You wouldn't get a Jags-Bengals game back then. Crappy teams didn't get many opportunities for prime time. I like having the Sunday and Monday night games. I don't like the Thursday night games. Not because it's overkill but rather the product sucks as they schedule crap teams and like I said before, it's too short a recovery to play Sunday and then go play on Thursday. That being said, I usually watch them anyway but I totally see your point on how it's overkill.
