Not really. "Politically correct" (which was used in essentially the same pejorative sense) was used way back in the 1980s.
Political correctness changes all the time. No one was talking about 'woke' 10 years ago. It's a distinct brand of political correctness. Or perhaps political correctness has become more extreme.
