I realise it is very easy for me as a distant observer to feel outraged about it. I really don't know how I would feel if I were a die-hard Newcastle fan. Be happy that my team might become a contender again after so long, or be despondent about my beloved club now being the property of an utterly vile institution? There's also the aspect that Newcastle fans already look upon Mike Ashley as an utter vile institution anyway so I'm sure the majority aren't going to care! As a Liverpool fan I appreciate that it's blind luck that allows me delude myself to not being a hypocrite as far as having billionaire owners are concerned. The fact that FSG haven't really put any money into the club and you can see the success has come via sound investment of the Sterling, Coutinho, etc money coming in and having a top manager has still allowed fans to enjoy that team building aspect of feeling you've earned your success. That's in spite of not because of our billionaire owners which makes them more vile in some ways than the cash dropping variety (asides from the actual murder connections!).
