The movie turned 30 in August and I didn't get the chance to cover it, but with Halloween coming up, as well as that Chucky TV show premiering on Syfy very soon, I figure it's a good time to rectify that. I know a lot of people consider this the worst Child's Play film, but I think it's kind of entertaining as long as you're not too demanding. I won't say it's a great film in any way, or the best Child's Play film/sequel, or some misunderstood film, but like with the previous film, it has it's share of memorable scenes, lines, etc. I think the military school gives the film some flavor although it's ridiculous for an amusement park to be out in the middle of the woods with nothing surrounding it. A little surprised to see Andrew Robinson in a movie like this, but a paycheck is a paycheck. Brad Dourif once again plays Chucky with maniacal glee even though he's spouts more one-liners than before compared to the previous films. "Just think, Chucky's gonna be a bro!" Leonard Maltin Movie Guide Review: Child's Play 3 (1991) - BOMB out of 4 stars
"It's been eight years since Chucky first terrorized young Andy Barclay (Whalin), and now the kid is a screwed-up loner of 16 in a military school; to make things worse, the prez of the Play Pals Toy Company is about to put the "C" doll back into production. An amusement park finale is desperately contrived, even by the standards of this junk. Followed by BRIDE OF CHUCKY."
