The Magus (1968) I've never read the book, so I imagine it makes it even harder to understand without that background. I tend to think that the whole thing is Michael Caine's character realizing that he is selfish and only thinking of himself and that he needs to pay more attention to Anna Karina's character. Any opinions? I still like the film and I saw some of the same location shots as Deadfall which I viewed a few days ago. I think both films were mostly shot on location in Mallorca. I saw it on first uk tv showing circa 1973 or so and liked it and rewatched it a couple of years ago after reading the novel and still liked it. I think your summary pretty accurate. It gets a lot of critical hate - a Maltin BOMB - but if you like puzzles and mysteries i’d Say give it a whirl
