Another 0 fer brewing in Detroit? I feel for die hard Lions fans. I lived through the 17 Year Drought in Buffalo but at least the team had made a SB. This team had been irrelevant since Eisenhower was president. That's truly sad.
I remember the 2005 season, I think, when the Bengals paid a visit to Detroit, some of their fans deliberately wore colors of their team's opponent. When Matt Millen was their GM. The fact that the Lions only post-merger playoff win came after the Bengals last playoff victory isn't as comforting. The Bengals at least have two Super Bowl trips.
That probably doesn't answer the question, but it's just a thought.
