I don't think the Colts game in Indy is a gimme. And we struggled in Miami with the GOAT, so nothing is guaranteed down there. But the Jags, Jets and Falcons are must wins.
But like I said: Dolphins with Tua, the Colts with a new confidence...we might lose there, but also land one or two upset victories.
7-10, 8-9 max.
My hope is that Kraft and the team will get tired of his character. Belichick got away with a lot because he was successful, and that might change.
I this guy is leading us nowhere. He spent all our cap space, got the best and most ready Rookie QB as it seems, and he got all his opt out back. But we even struggle against the hopeless Texans.
And we lost Gilmore because we couldn't pay him (=> cap space).
Success was keeping a lot together, but Belichicks attitude, his way of taking all fun away, and the lack of success might lead to some exodus, and it will be harder to get good players - even if we could pay them.
Playing with no hope of success und under a "no fun"-regime of Belichick.
This man is becoming more and more a burden.
Brady was the one factor that kept all together.
Yeah the most damning thing about this season is that we spent $232M in free agency and we're 0-4 at home. Talk about pissing your money away. The Texans game was as embarrassing as a win can possibly be. And if we're being honest, McCarthy not going for it on 4th and 1 twice in the 4th quarter of this game is what kept the Pats in it.
Regarding the 2019 season finale, that was 100% Belichick. The offense scored 24 points, including the go ahead TD with less than 4:00 remaining. Belichick's garbage defense let a 4-11 team march down the field and score a TD to win it-- in Foxborough no less. But in general for whatever reason we historically struggled in Miami, even with Brady. Hell one year we were 14-2 and one of those losses was to a putrid Dolphins team in Miami. So nothing is a given down there.
It's clear Belichick is flailing now, all that money and nothing to show for it. His defense can't get stops when they need to (haven't been able to in well over a decade now), and his offense can't move the ball when they need to. He isn't going to change, the only question is how long do the fans have to suffer?
